Child Protection, Safeguarding Information

Safeguarding the welfare and well-being of our pupils, and protecting them from significant harm is our prime concern at Hindon CE VA Primary School. Safeguarding encompasses issues such as child protection, pupil health and safety, online safety, bullying, cyberbullying, appropriate medical provision, drugs and substance misuse.

We ensure that all our staff are aware of, and have the skills to deal with any child protection or safeguarding concerns. We have robust recruitment procedures and professional development programmes which ensure that all our staff uphold our strong ethos and values. Your child's safety and welfare overrides all other considerations. All staff at Hindon Primary School have a statutory responsibility to report any disclosures or concerns where a child may be subject to, or at risk of, significant harm. This includes non-accidental injury, severe physical neglect, emotional abuse and/or sexual abuse.

Anyone who works in an unsupervised capacity with children, whether paid or voluntary, will require DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) certification.

All Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies can be viewed in the 'Policies' section of Key Information on our website. Our Child Protection Policy is available here
