Classroom Assistants: Miss Lockett

Miss Hall is our teacher in Owls Class (Year 2 & 3), supported by our classroom assistant, Miss Lockett. Together they provide a rich and engaging curriculum tailored to meet the needs of all learners. In Phonics, they continue with the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds programme which provides a systematic approach to develop confident readers and writers. 

For Mathematics we use the White Rose scheme of work to ensure children build a deep understanding of mathematical concepts through a mastery approach. Each year group receives separate teaching inputs from the class teacher and work is tailored to each year group. 

In Owls class we foster curiosity, independence and love of learning. Topic based work crosses over both year groups and includes exciting and inspiring topics which engage the children. History, geography, science, DT and art are all taught discretely but links are made where appropriate to interconnected learning.
