Mrs Muelchi is our teacher in Woodpeckers class (Years 4,5 and 6) supported by Mrs Wilson our HLTA. Woodpeckers class follow our broad, balanced and creative curriculum. Teaching inputs and support are tailored to each year group in subjects such as English and maths.

We have designed a broad and balanced wider curriculum which provides children with the skills and knowledge to investigate, explore and create. We plan for cross-curricular topics which support National Curriculum subject learning in a real and purposeful way. Pupils are empowered to make links between subjects as they acquire skills and knowledge related to an overarching topic theme or line of enquiry.

Our rolling programme includes topics such as Vikings, Egyptian history and World War two. Topic work encompasses art, DT, geography, history and science.

Mrs Muelchi is our computing subject leader and also incorporates opportunities for using technology in appropriate ways to support childrens’ learning. Websites to support parents include:
