DT - Cooking Chinese Food!
Owls really enjoyed experiencing some new ingredients including ginger, garlic and Chinese Five Spice! We chopped up lots of vegetables and tasted a few of the vegetables including beansprouts, mushrooms and peppers before mixing them all together with soy sauce to make spring rolls. We also mixed up some rice with eggs and peas and fried it off to make egg fried rice!

Lino Printing
We investigated ancient methods of mark making particularly Chinese wood block printing. We had a go at a more modern technique of printing using linoleum and paint.
The carving was really tricky but we created some lovely prints,

Some cute visitors!
One of our pupils brought in her teeny tiny chicks for us to have a cuddle with! We were all very gentle with these delicate little creatures and it was a lovely end to our day.
